Concert for the Deaf

concertThrough the power of “emoti-chairs” designed by Ryerson’s Cen­tre for Learn­ing Tech­nolo­gies and the Sci­ence of Music, Audi­tory Research and Tech­nol­ogy lab, Clinton’s Tav­ern in Toronto on March 5 will be throw­ing down a show for the deaf. The emoti-chair is designed to inter­pret music into tac­tile sen­sa­tions and is part of CLT’s Alter­na­tive Sen­sory Infor­ma­tion Dis­plays (ASID) projectYou can check out a video of the emoti-chair on their media page. Also at the gig will be visu­al­i­sa­tions, open cap­tion­ing, and interpreters.
