Concert for the Deaf
Through the power of “emoti-chairs” designed by Ryerson’s Centre for Learning Technologies and the Science of Music, Auditory Research and Technology lab, Clinton’s Tavern in Toronto on March 5 will be throwing down a show for the deaf. The emoti-chair is designed to interpret music into tactile sensations and is part of CLT’s Alternative Sensory Information Displays (ASID) project. You can check out a video of the emoti-chair on their media page. Also at the gig will be visualisations, open captioning, and interpreters.
In case you’re wondering about the line-up, headlining wil be: ill. Gates, with special guests: Fox Jaws, Treestar, The Dufraines, Hollywood Swank, and DJ Stéphane Vera
